چکیده

many farmers periodically use deep tillage operations to alleviate compaction in the soil profile caused by natural factors or machinery traffic. in 2012 and 2013, a study was initiated in the pannonian region of croatia to study the effects of no-tillage (nt), conventional tillage (ct) and deep tillage (dt) on soil compaction, measured by (bd), soil water content (swc), penetration resistance (pr) and total soil porosity (tsp). the experiment was established on pseudogley (stagnosol). the results show that dt was superior to ct and nt treatments. dt caused least soil physical degradation, with bd being in the following order: dt

Effect of tillage treatments on soil thermal conductivity for some Jordanian clay loam and loam soils

Soil thermal conductivity determines how a soil warms or cools with exchange of energy by conduction, convection, and radiation. The ability to monitor soil thermal conductivity is an important tool in managing the soil temperature regime to affect seed germination and crop growth. In this study, the temperature-by-time data was obtained using a single probe device to determine the soil thermal...

Tillage impacts on aggregate stability and crop productivity in a clay-loam soil in central Iran

To take advantage of conservation tillage systems (including direct drilling and non-inversion) in central Iran, it is important to study the effects of different cultivation practices on soil structural stability as a physical indicator. A four-year study was conducted to investigate the effects of seven tillage systems on aggregate properties of a clay-loam soil (Calcic Cambisol) with continu...

Draft Force Inputs for Primary and Secondary Tillage Implements in a Clay Loam Soil

Tillage is the base operation in agriculture and its energy represents a considerable portion of the energy utilized in crop production. To measure the implement force requirements, are used dynamometers that are pull or three-point hitch types. In this research, an 82 kW research tractor equipped with an instrumentation system was used to determine the draft force inputs for four common tillag...

Conservation Tillage Systems for Corn Production on a Loessial Silt Loam and Alluvial Clay in Louisiana

Corn acreage has increased in recent years in Louisiana. Much of this is on mixed to heavy Mississippi River alluvial soils and to a lesser extent on loessial silt loams of the Macon Ridge. Each of these soil groups are unique in their phys ical and chemical characteristics and different management strategies may be required to produce optimal yield. Research has indicated that corn performs b...
